Genethon welcome the general public to their laboratories. The next tours will take place during the Telethon, on November 29th and 30th.
Touring Genethon: what you can discover
During your visit, you will be welcomed by a Genethon employee, trained to guide and accompany you:
- At the DNA and Cell Bank created in 1990 and whose purpose it is to boost advances in genetic research by providing the scientific community with the high-quality services of a cell and DNA bank. It is the leading European bank for genetic diseases; it operates as a service to the entire medical and scientific community.
- In Imaging: Genethon has a platform that is able to generate and collect all preclinical data that can be used to assess the effectiveness, toxicity and side effects of a gene therapy product.
- In the showroom: Your guide will show you how a vector is made, as well as the quantities of vectors to be produced and the clinical requirements.
